Interesting, but if you want a system for collaborative work, I highly
recommend using the Eclipse editor with the Perl EPIC plugin. Eclipse
runs on all platforms (PC, Linux, Mac).
I'd be happy to give an overview of using Eclipse with Perl and the
Subclipse plugin for using Subversion as a source code repository.

Since we do have a few Macs in the group it might be fun to have
everyone with a Mac install SubEthaEdit. It is free editor for
non-commercial use and uses Rendevous technology built into OS X to
allow multiple users edit the same file live. It also works over the
internet. It is pretty cool and may be useful for project work.
