That's right, y'all. Monday.

We are excited to announce that we WILL be having a meeting this month, but
we decided to have it on a different day of the week. Finally, something
good happens on a Monday!

See the link for more details: http://grand-rapids.pm.org

*When*: 11:30 on Monday, September 28
*Where*: Priority Health Conference Center -- room C
*What*: Software Development Process at Socialtext

Socialtext has been building software with a physically distributed team
since 2002. In this session, Matt Heusser will describe the benefits,
opportunities, and challenges of distributed development, from the financial
case for a distributed team, to the skills, technologies and techniques that
make distributed pair programming and collaboration not only possible, but
effective. And, he'll explain Socialtext's agile process of tracking user
stories from inception to release. Gain an understanding of the business
case for remote work, how to avoid its pitfalls, and enjoy its benefits.

*Who*: Matthew Heusser.

Matt is a member of the technical staff at Socialtext and has experience in
developing, testing, and managing software projects. He is also a
contributing editor for Software Test and Performance magazine and a
part-time instructor of Information Systems at Calvin College.

*Food*: We will have pizza for those who RSVP to me or matth at everysoft.com.

Thanks, and we hope to see you there!
