[grand-rapids-pm-list] New to the group

My name is Justin, I live in the Kentwood-Grand Rapids area and I came
across this mailing list through Al Tobey of the GRLUG.
I've have used Gentoo professionally and leisurely for about two years.
About a year ago I started toying with the idea of becoming a programmer, I
wrote a lot of simple, liitle time-savers and now I'm ready to take it to
another level.
I like Perl and I hope to someday become proficient enough to design and
develop software with it, though I have a long way to go.

If anybody has a favorite book or website please let me know of it. I'm
willing to read anything that will assist me in my endeavor to become a
better Perl programmer.

Burn's Hog Weighing Method:
        (1) Get a perfectly symmetrical plank and balance it across a
sawhorse.
        (2) Put the hog on one end of the plank.
        (3) Pile rocks on the other end until the plank is again perfectly
            balanced.
        (4) Carefully guess the weight of the rocks.
