Scratch that.  I don't care what book we get.
Aside from Mastering Algorithmns in C, I don't see
any O'Reilly C/C++ books I'm that interested in.

Maybe something open source?  A FREE book
about free software seems somehow appropriate(*).
I'm sure Mr. Tobey would like that.
