I work for is looking to recruit more Perl/C engineers.

Role:  Software Engineer (Tools Developer)
Location:  Glasgow, Edinburgh (UK)

Due to continued expansion worldwide, the company is looking to add to
the in-house tools team who support an engineering development staff of
over 200. The team's remit includes design, development and maintenance
of bespoke and third party tools covering version control, development
management systems, project control and WBS, bug tracking, automated
test systems and development toolchains.

The tools team is a multi-disciplinary team, covering a variety of
capabilities including perl, mysql, C, shell scripting, cgi and some web
development.  The primary requirements are for Perl and C developers,
although broader experience would be a benefit.

We are looking to hire a number of motivated, experienced self-starters
with relevant skills to cover:
 - ongoing development and maintenance of our automated build and test
   system (client-server build and test framework)
 - design and development of code and release management tools
 - integration and refactoring of existing standalone tools
 - ongoing development of in-house integrated project-based time
   management system
 - maintenance, deployment and support of all company tools

The successful candidates will have:
 - Over 1 year's experience in a commercial development environment
 - Solid design and development skills
 - Solid experience in some of: C, Perl, shell scripting, mysql, cgi
 - Mobile OS exeperience - Symbian, WinCE, Linux, Palm, BREW, RTOS
 - Experience of Linux, Windows platforms
 - Experience of System administration
 - Positive attitude
