I've been programming web apps in perl for over 10 years now. It's pretty clear from the mailing list archives that the group is not active. I was wondering if we can "reactivate" dublin.pm? How many perl hackers are over here anyway? What are the "must-attend" Europe perl conferences besides YAPC::EU? Hope to hear from (anyone) soon. :-) Drew From david at cantrell.org.uk Tue Feb 5 07:27:55 2008 From: david at cantrell.org.uk (David Cantrell) Date: Tue, 5 Feb 2008 15:27:55 +0000 Subject: [Dub-pm] New to Dublin In-Reply-To: <9DC38A8C-7077-436B-A204-6D4E770265CB@drewtaylor.com> References: <9DC38A8C-7077-436B-A204-6D4E770265CB@drewtaylor.com> Message-ID: <20080205152755.GA16209@bytemark.barnyard.co.uk> On Tue, Feb 05, 2008 at 02:49:58PM +0000, Drew Taylor wrote: > What are the "must-attend" Europe perl > conferences besides YAPC::EU? Various perl workshops. There's a *lot* of them, although unlike YAPC::EU they are often in languages other than English. -- David Cantrell | Cake Smuggler Extraordinaire Immigration: making Britain great since AD43 From Tim.Bunce at pobox.com Mon Feb 25 15:55:23 2008 From: Tim.Bunce at pobox.com (Tim Bunce) Date: Mon, 25 Feb 2008 23:55:23 +0000 Subject: [Dub-pm] Anyone going to IWTC in February In-Reply-To: <479F61EB.5050509@sun.com> References: <20080124174203.GB17802@timac.local> <479F61EB.5050509@sun.com> Message-ID: <20080225235523.GA35309@timac.local> On Tue, Jan 29, 2008 at 05:27:07PM +0000, Fintan Ryan wrote: > > Tim Bunce wrote: > > [Tap, Tap, is this thing on? The conference starts tomorrow evening. There's a full agends now at http://iwtc.firstport.ie/agenda.aspx I'm speaking on Wednesday afternoon. Speaking of which... here's a draft of my presentation: http://timbunce.wordpress.com/files/2008/02/perl-baseless-myths-hkey.pdf I think you'll find it interesting. For example, it includes the visitor stats for search.cpan.org. I'd be very grateful for any feedback. Thanks! Tim. p.s. Please don't distribute this draft beyond dublin.pm though. I'll post the final slides after the event.
