This is the first meeting of DFW Perl Mongers in many moons, and I
fear there will more new people than seasoned Perl practitioners!
So if you haven't been to a PM meeting in a while... come on out and
represent! <br>
<br>
Tommy Butler (your new meeting overlord) and I (John Fields, minion
first class) are going to establish demand and hopefully set
expectations.<br>
<br>
The DMS classroom has WiFi, a VERY nice projector, a screen the size
of one end of the room, (4) 4x8 whiteboards, seats about 20
comfortably with tables. Almost double without them. And a well
stocked snack room/kitchen: $1 for all items and beverages, $2 for
beers (suggested donations).<br>
<br>
Among the topics to be discussed:<br>
1) Desired topics and presentations<br>
2) Presenters and volunteers<br>
3) Meeting day, time, etc.<br>
4) Project: Writing a new website for the DFW PM group<br>
5) Project: Spammenot email server rewrite<br>
6) Hump Day! (Food + Perl, every Wed, come as often as you can)<br>
7) YAPC::NA 2013 in Austin end of June (Rent a whole Megabus?
Mega-roadtrip!)<br>
8) Perl Foundation - a reminder it is a great thing to join.<br>
