North Dallas client is looking for a Perl Scripter with Java experience.

This is an open ended 6+ month contract position.<br>
<br>
Overview: Working within a multi-disciplinary project team, you will apply
<br>
your software engineering skills to contribute to the successful <br>
development and support of a market leading telecommunications network
<br>
management products.<br>
<br>
Key Responsibilities: You will be responsible for developing Iris Session
<br>
Analyzer software applications for telecommunications and data networks.
<br>
You will take part in all aspects of the software life cycle, including
<br>
requirements analysis, design, implementation, peer review, testing, <br>
integration, configuration management, and troubleshooting. You will work
<br>
as an integral member of a self directed agile development team employing
<br>
a Scrum based methodology. Must have scripting skills.<br>
<br>
Qualified candidate will have the following skills:<br>
Excellent communication, interpersonal, technical and organizational <br>
skills<br>
Strong general programming and problem solving skills.<br>
Proactive nature willing to take initiative and seek challenges in <br>
technical areas that may be completely new<br>
Ability to view software from an Architectural and System perspective<br>
Ability to trace down and troubleshoot problems within a system<br>

Technical Qualifications:<br>
Perl Scripting Experience<br>
Experience with web services<br>
Proficiency in at least one Linux or Unix Operating System such as Redhat

Linux or Solaris 10 <br>
Strong Object-Oriented Analysis and Design skills with exposure to design

tools and design patterns. <br>
Working knowledge in modern web application development frameworks <br>
(Tomcat, Spring). <br>
Experience in XML is required.<br>

Pluses but not required:<br>
UML Experience<br>
Grails and Groovy are a plus, but not required<br>
Java, basic Java frameworks, J2EE technologies, and Swing. <br>
