I would recommend that you move the repository to be a github organization (say dfwpm), it is then easier to setup teams for access etc. And it makes it much easier in future when there is a need to change the main ownership.

Also, you could host the website there. I did this for perl-ldap. You first create a branch called gh-pages then add a file called CNAME with the hostname in it and configure DNS so that the host is a CNAME to dfwpm.github.com

eg

https://github.com/perl-ldap/perl-ldap/tree/gh-pages

Graham.

Sounds like a good plan. I'll work on that later on tonight and get back to the list once that part is handled. As for the website, gh-pages /are/ great, but setting up our own website is one of our planned projects as laid out in the meetings and the meeting power point presentation I mailed to the group. We'll be doing it as a learning experience with Catalyst. While that might sound like overkill, it gives us the fun opportunity to expose the group to those technologies.

To clarify for everybody, our development server will be the place where we run the actual code we collaborate on with github. Setting up the github repo as a github organization is a very excellent suggestion.

Thanks Graham!

Remember folks-- If you're missing the meetings, we're missing you, and you're missing out on lots of fun! Come on out!

Quite simply, from this point forward (with regard to git) we are officially here: https://github.com/dfwperl

Please send me your github user ID's in this thread (even if you already did at some point in the past) because I'm having to recreate the group github membership from scratch again.

Graham, John Fields, Patrick, Nick Perez, and I are already set up.

Files from the previous repository will be migrated over soon.

Thanks.
