Message-ID: Hi all, Given I have moved jobs from bristol to totnes (and previously from wimbledon and guildford), I am finally living and working in cornwall and devon respectively. Anyway - I know I'm working with at least 1 other perl monger in Totnes, and that NHBS in totnes have been looking for a perl developer, I'm pretty sure there must be enough mongers within a short drive of either totnes or newton abbot or thereabouts to justify a social meet. Anybody interested - obviously I'd like to have a perl mongers social in cornwall some time but we are bit sparse this far west. cheers, A. Me! What are we planning, evening? weekday? My work takes me across quite large areas of Devon and Cornwall so it entirely depends on where I am that day. If I'm at home or in Totnes, NA, Paignton, etc., a meeting after 7pm is fine. If I'm in Tintagel or Bideford, probably not. :-( > Anybody interested - obviously I'd like to have a perl mongers social > in cornwall some time but we are bit sparse this far west. I could make that too - it's only over t'bridge. -- Neil Williams ============= http://www.data-freedom.org/ http://www.nosoftwarepatents.com/ http://www.linux.codehelp.co.uk/ -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... I'm interested, assuming I can get transport. I'll forward your message to the Termisoc mailing list, I'm sure there'll be other people interested. Anyway in case you're still reading, it's a silver 1993/4 fiesta with 123,000 miles on the clock, and 4 brand new (november) goodyear tyres - great condition, runs very nicely, ideal first car. Photo's available on request or you can see it in autotrader or west briton advertised at 595, but I'll offer it to anybody here for about 400 quid. cheers, A. Anyway.. who knows some good pubs in the dart valley, preferably near totnes or the A38 in that general area that have real ale, decent food and a nice atmosphere? Also - equally importantly - who can get out of their comfy home office and stumble out of the door, remembering to get dressed and not realise halfway there that they still wearing a dressing gown and slippers (unless we're having a HHTTG theme). fall out! My plan is to fix a date that I know myself and matt can make, and then announce it on the list, which will probably be in the next few weeks. The meeting will almost certainly be in totnes, as that would make it easier to get to by train, but if there is a spectacularly good pub closer to the A38, I'd be prepared to pick some people up from totnes station and take them there if somebody else will drop them back. cheers, A.
