I agree - a wiki/group site would be nice...<br>
<br>
I was thinking it would be a good idea to still have our static website
for general information purposes and then link to a wiki/group site.
Could we use something as simple as Facebook or LinkedIn for this? Not
sure how everyone feels about using these sites - where FB is more
social and LI is more professional...<br>
<br>
I looked into FB groups and created a Detroit Perl Mongers group - to
see what is possible:<br>
<ul>
<li>Events</li>
<li>Simple discussion board</li>
<li>FB wall</li>
<li>Photo</li>
<li>videos</li>
<li>Post links<br>
</li>
</ul>
<br>
I am use some other groups in LinkedIn - but prefer the FB UI to the LI
UI...<br>
<br>
Any other ideas/thoughts???<br>

I really think a wiki will provide the easiest way to get increased
participation. Here is one wiki service we could use for free: <a
moz-do-not-send="true" href="http://pbwiki.com/personal.wiki">http://pbwiki.com/personal.wiki</a>.<br>
<br>
Anyone know of other free wikis?<br>

all - I put in a request to get the website back under <a

management and they are working on it. They do not offer any
scripting possibilities for the site - just static content. This
should be OK for us since all we need up there is some meeting
announcements, presentations, links, code/scripts and any other useful
stuff....<br>
<br>
If anyone who has presented in the past has presentations in any format
- PPT, DOC, PDF, TEXT, etc... Please email them to me with the date
(approx if you forgot) and I will get them up on the site.<br>
<br>
Moving forward - once the DNS is setup - if anyone wants to post
anything - just let me know and email me the content and I can push it
up there pretty easily. We have to use WebDAV to upload any files...<br>
<br>
Please let me know if you have any ideas or questions - Thanks...<br>
