You guys okay with people posting local openings? Here's one from
TekSystems in Dayton. They have 3 positions open.

Also, Tek of Columbus has agreed to do some sponsorship of our pizza
(a couple of weeks ago, not tit-for-tat for posting this listing.)

Jon,

Thanks for your time today.  Again, our client O'Neil and Associates
is looking for a Perl Developer to join their team on a 6 month
contract-to-hire basis.  Here’s a little more information about this
position:

We are looking for a senior level Perl Application Engineer to hit the
ground running and assist with the development of object oriented,
n-tier web applications. We would prefer a bachelor’s degree in
Computer Science, and 2-3 years of practical experience building web
applications using Perl, SQL, XSLT, XML, and versioning systems (CVS,
Subversion). The ideal candidate should be well versed in OO
methodologies and familiar with the full software development life
cycle (analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and
documentation).

The ideal candidate will be expected to design and write reliable,
maintainable code, while being able to adapt quickly to new
technologies and changing business requirements. Individual should
also be able to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise in the
code base.

The candidate will work closely with the Lead Application Engineer,
and under the direction of the Development Manager.

Let me know what you think, and please let me know if you have any
questions.  Thanks!
