Perl In Columbus was [columbus.pm] new to area

I would think some place close to campus would be better considering your
demographic cartography of Perl Peeps in the area. Or north campus. There is
a coffee shop on high just south of morse called scottie mcbeans and I think
they have a public meeting facility of some kind. Not sure of its
availability.

That sounds like a good idea. Of those interested in getting this rolling
again, what part of town are you in?
I am downtown, which isn't really an easy place to meet, unless you're
already downtown. I'm going to venture that everyone is downtown, campus,
north-east, or north-west columbus. So good informal meeting palces would
be Frog Bear (Arena-Downtown), campus?, Easton Area (north-east), Tuttle
Area (north-west).
If you plan on attending the informal planning meeting, which area do you
prefer?

It's been forever since anyone has gathered. How about an informal meeting
first to get organized? Maybe happy hour somewhere? Those speakers do
sound interesting.

January is Good. Any ideas on location? I can ask around at Nationwide to
see if I can get space. I'm pretty new here, so I'm not sure how that will
go.
I assume the usual format of the meeting includes a speaker who talks about
some perl subject. Anyone want to speak? If not, I have a couple of links
to some high-profile speakers. (ie, Director of Security at a nationally
known University who is well known in the security circuts, who happened to
have written some widely used security tools in perl. Also, another guy
that co-authored one of the O'Reilly Perl Books.).

I'd like to contribute to this website. Jason, are you still the
webmaster?
Any interest in a January meeting?

I think an active Perl group in Columbus would be great. Anyone want to do
work on a) starting one b) coordinating a re-juvenation of the Columbus
Perl Mongers?
