More details<BR>posted as they evolve.<BR><BR>Hackday might need some explanation for the uninitiated. It is an all<BR>day all night event where people bring their computing gear and their<BR>projects to one place and get busy. Usually there is overcaffination<BR>and music and video saturation. Sometimes there is gaming though it's<BR>not designed as a regular gaming LAN party.<BR><BR>It's about:<BR><BR>* Hanging our with fellow tech/hobbist<BR>* Getting to those projects that you want to work on but keep<BR>putting off.<BR>* Seeing what projects others are working on.<BR>* Watching other people using their native environment and picking<BR>up general tips and tricks.<BR><BR>I shouldn't have to tell this audience, but this is hacking in the<BR>positive
creative sense. <BR><BR>Issues up in the air:<BR>* Where to hold this hackday. My house is the default, but if you<BR>have a cool location please let us know at hackday.org<BR>* When the even starts. I'm thinking noon, but we'll agree on a<BR>time closer to the 28th.<BR><BR>In the past this has been a heavily Linux slanted event, but I<BR>wouldn't mind throwing it open to our Windows and Macintosh friends<BR>so we can see what kind of projects they are up to. :)<BR><BR>Please use the hackday.org website to post your hackday plans.
