[Chicago-talk] Planning a Chicago Perl Workshop - Interested?

That's what I was afraid of!

The NA Perl Workshops/Conferences I can find are:

Pittsburg: Early October
DC/Baltimore: Mid-April
YAPC: June/July
Orlando: Mid-January
Frozen Perl: ?? February?

Are there any I'm missing?

There seems to be a big gap in August/September. Early Sept may be enough
time to plan the thing, but is it enough time to get the word out? There's
also a gap in March, and Frozen Perl may not be happening anymore, so we
could take Feb/Mar (even with the snow, we could call it Chicahguh Weather
Appreciation Day).

There's also Early November, except YAPC::Brazil is the 15/16th November,
so it'd have to be the 1st/2nd of November. After YAPC::Brazil, it's hard
to do anything in NA due to the holidays.

We're going to have a planning meeting the second week of August (which
probably puts September out of the running). If early next year it must be,
that's when we'll do it.

Something to note: It's hard to find a completely unreserved time period
for a brand-new workshop. This is a Good Problem To Have for Perl!
