October 2008 Chicago.pm Meeting
This is just a friendly reminder about our Chicago.pm meeting tonight. The
topic of the day will be Git. Git is an open source version control system
designed to handle very large projects with speed and efficiency, but just
as well suited for small personal repositories; it is especially popular in
the open source community, serving as a development platform for projects
like the Linux Kernel, Ruby on Rails, WINE, X.org, and even the Perl core.
The meeting will be at 20 W Kinize at the Google offices. Most likely it
will be on the 8th floor... the security guard at the front desk will let
you know for sure.
Please RSVP before 5pm if you are going to attend.
