Thanks to everyone for coming out to the meeting tonight and also a
very big thanks to Mike and Jonathan for presenting! Just a few notes
one upcoming events that were announced at the meetings:

1) This Monday, August 28th, is the final of this summer's round of
TechCoffee meetings. The meetings are downtown at 6:00 a.m. More
information can be found at http://techcoffee.infogami.com/. Be there
or be well rested for work :)

2) The Pittsburgh Perl Workshop (http://www.pghpw.org/) is going to be
held on Saturday, September 23rd. Chicago's own Mike Fragassi and
brian d foy will be speaking there. I know that Heather and I are
attending. If anyone wants to go, Amtrak is offering a 2-for-1 ticket
deal where two people can travel round-trip for $102 using coupon
H568. There is a train that leaves at 5:30 p.m. on the 22nd and
arrives at Pittsburgh at 4:00 a.m. It then heads back at 11:30 p.m.
on the 23rd and will have you back in Chicago by 8:30 Sunday morning.

3) Pete and Andy have planned out a Perl hack-a-thon scheduled for the
weekend of November 10th, 11th, and 12th. Chip Salzenberg, the Parrot
Pumpking, will be the guest hacker. Skills ranging from hard-core
hackers to beginners are all welcome. Andy and/or Pete will be
trickling out information as they finalize it.

I think that's all of the events so far. It looks like we already
also have a couple of talks lined up for September's PM meeting...
announcements soon.

Josh
