I can also give 2 or 3 people a lift from the train station. Instead of
the VH or Lake Forest stations, I can pick up people at the Lake-Cook
station on the Milwaukee District North line
(http://metrarail.com/Sched/md_n/md_n.html).  There are plenty of outbound
trains that will get you there between 5 and 6, but there are only 2
inbound trains on Monday nights from that station: 8:38 and 10:52.

Alternatively, I can pick up people there and drop people off at Glencoe
on the UP North line, which has an inbound stop at 9:42.
