It truly does shift the web paradigm to the benefit of more feature-rich applications and usability. Perl and JavaScript make excellent bedfellows when taking advantage of this new technology. We'll be looking specifically at Perl, JSON, and JavaScript for this crash-course. The speaker wants attendees to bring their laptops with web development environment along with them to the meeting. He wants to provide a workshop-type presentation for those that want to follow along real-time. The room provided by IIT-Rice has support for WiFi internet connections. Speaker Bio ----------- Mike Stemle is a 24-year-old resident of Hyde Park, married for 2 years to his wife Dacia. He is currently employed as a software developer for Performics. He has worked for such companies as DigitalWork/DWData/zoomshare.com, Parkland College, Edventions LLC, and MortgageSelector.com..
