Hi Bill,

Thanks for your email. Sorry for this belated reply.

Parking - We all had the $5 parking fine. We have got to find a free
parking space on campus or hold our meetings offsite. <rant>As a
taxpayer, I find it outrageous that UNCC puts up barriers to making the
campus accessible to the community. No wonder I had never been there
until this year.</rant>

Gami et al., any word on where us outsiders can park after 6pm?

Meeting topics - I like your suggestion of creating a topics list. I
have setup a wiki[1] which should provide the forum where the group can
maintain the topics for upcoming meetings. I have added a MeetingTopics
page for upcoming events, volunteers, and suggestions. Please add your
ideas and, better yet, signup to present (even if it's just 15 minutes).
If you have other ideas for managing a schedule, please share them.

Wiki - The wiki is not linked from our homepage yet. I'd like to get
some content added before making it the default homepage. Feel free to
add anything you'd like. The homepage needs some attention for those
with a designer's eye.

Next meeting: Gami, are you going to be able to do the BioPerl demo?
Anyone else have a topic that they would like to present? I'll be doing
the training which will look at Perl variables including the special
variables (e.g., $_, $/, $., etc). I'll send an announcement out over
the weekend.

Thanks,
William
