The discussion is quite interesting actually and has led me to the belief that programming with dates is best done with some prior contract with satan! Seriously though, there is a very good discussion on a number of different modules and the pitalls involved in handling dates. There was even a disucssion on Julian vs. Gregorian dates which you may find relevant. - -- Paul Bryan E-Mail: pa_bryan@yahoo.co.uk PGP Key http://www.keyserver.net:11371/pks/lookup?op=get&search=0xB1D405DA You first parents of the human race... who ruined yourself for an apple, what might you have done for a truffled turkey? -- Brillat-savarin, "Physiologie du Gout" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE+FW/C3qGyTLHUBdoRAlW3AKC6WGu+3wR5wEjpa7bu+i3ixQg3XQCdGL6N 99vGt3uWlblnIuyF/s6LQrY= =l8yC -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- From jepri at webone.com.au Mon Jan 6 06:12:06 2003 From: jepri at webone.com.au (Jepri) Date: Mon Aug 2 21:26:22 2004 Subject: [Canberra-pm] Date modules? I tend to reach for Date::Manip first. I was really impressed by the authors attention to detail. And the .5Mb size of the module :) From jepri at webone.com.au Mon Jan 6 06:31:20 2003 From: jepri at webone.com.au (Jepri) Date: Mon Aug 2 21:26:22 2004 Subject: [Canberra-pm] First meeting Message-ID: <20030106233120.C655@ghost.jepri.merseine.nu> I can't bring myself to say inaugural because it always sounds like it has something to do with ears. Anyway, I'm back from very very very sunny Tamworth, and I hope that your chrissie holidays were more interesting than a week in Tamworth usually is :) For the first meeting I think that we should try to combine perl and socialising, although maybe not at exactly the same time (nobody knows how to pronounce the '{}' characters). So how about we have a few perl presentations, and then head out for dinner (and|or) drinks? I'm thinking of a day sometime around Tues 28th, if a room is available that day. If anyone would like come but can't on that day, let me know. Likewise if you can think of a better idea than talks and dinner. "Perl in the Park" has a certain ring to it....
