Jim,<br><br>You make a good distinction between Parrot and Perl 6. I would like to point out that one of the most promising routes to eventual full implementation of Perl 6 is on a Parrot engine, and so help for Parrot is likely going to directly speed the progress of Perl 6.
<br><br>Beyond that, there are aspects of Perl 6 implementation that are closely related to Parrot development; namely, PCT (the "parrot compiler toolchain") and NQP ("not quite perl"). NQP could be the most closely-related project to Phil's interests. That is, it is a strict subset of Perl 6 within the PCT that provides enough of the language that not-yet implemented elements of Perl 6 (on Parrot) can be implemented with NQP!
