[Buffalo-pm] is this mic on?

I heard about the Synacor layoffs :-(

That reminds me, we have a perl position available at UB. Anyone interested can go to https://www.ubjobs.buffalo.edu, and search for “Developer” or posting 1400693. It’s not exclusively a perl position, but perl is definitely something we do, and a big plus for applicants. “External applicants” (people not already working at UB) cannot actually apply until next Friday (10/31).

And as for perl developers in Buffalo, I’ll admit my job involves far less perl than it used to, but in UB’s Enterprise Applications area, we still have 40 developers familiar with perl, a lot of existing perl apps to support, and a lot of new perl web app development (mostly with the Mojolicious framework).

Until very recently (Synacor mass downsizing), I was being paid to write Perl in Buffalo.
Don't know what the future holds, but I'd still like to come hang out with you guys.
