[Buffalo-pm] Portal Framework...

All,

I am looking into different portal frameworks that will allow me to
hook my various applications into one view (which is I guess is the
definition of a portal). I was looking at Liferay
(http://www.liferay.com) which is a really cool portal application, but
everything is J2EE, and even the portlets that you can build into it
need to be J2EE. In looking around for other portal frameworks, I've
noticed that it's heavily dominated by Java/J2EE. I'm looking for a
portal framework that has a more open interface/API (Perl, PHP, etc) to
create the various portlets within the portal. The two that I have found
which seem to offer an open environment include:

Apache Portals Project

http://portals.apache.org

CGI-Portal

http://search.cpan.org/~alpo/CGI-Portal-0.02/Portal.pm

Has anyone used anything else, or know of another portal
application/framework that will allow me the flexibility to use any
language I want for creating the portlets? The more that is already done
in setting up the portal framework, the better, as I am not trying to
create a new portal application (I'd rather focus on creating the
portlets). Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

-Dan
