If you're inerested then: $ export CVSROOT=:pserver:anon at bennymack.com:2401/home/ben/documents/cvsroot $ cvs login Logging in to :pserver:anon at bennymack.com:2401/home/ben/documents/cvsroot CVS password: [Enter] $ cvs checkout meta_attributes $ cd meta_attributes $ perl Makefile.PL $ make $ make test $ perldoc Meta::Attributes Let me know if you have any questions or if it dies horribly on your machine. Thanks! Ben P.S. I plan on eventually doing the same with package tool modules I demonstrated a while back. From bennymack at gmail.com Mon Nov 13 16:15:23 2006 From: bennymack at gmail.com (Ben. B.) Message-ID: Let's meet up tonight at Higher Grounds Coffee House ( http://www.highergroundscoffeehouse.org ) at 7 PM. This won't necessarily be a social meeting, I would consider this more of a casual technical meeting :-) Feel free to come with discussion topics! There is also free wireless internet, so feel free to bring your laptop! 3622 Sheridan Drive (corner of Millersport Highway) Amherst, NY 14226 (716)836-0046 -Dan >>> "DANIEL MAGNUSZEWSKI" 11/20/06 1:31 PM >>> All, Sorry for the late notice, but we will be having our November meeting tomorrow night. Short (5 minutes) presentations are welcome, but you don't need to do a presentation to share your tips and tricks. Some topics/tools that will be demonstrated and/or presented: * Selenium (javascript web testing system) * App::Ack (a better grep for source code) * Fuse (filesystem in userspace) * Krusader (Norton Commander for the 21st century) * devilspie and wmctrl (window manager tools) * various Vim macros And don't forget to bring your own! Some ideas: * favourite editor shortcuts or macros * window manager tricks * version control tools * command line tools * text processing tools * useful perl modules * other useful software * testing tools If you've already decided on what you're going to present, please contact me off-list, and I'll add you to the agenda. Venue Details: (This info is also on the Toronto Perl Mongers site: http://to.pm.org/) Date: Thursday 30 Nov 2006 Time: 6:45pm Where: 2 Bloor Street West (NW corner of Yonge/Bloor, skyscraper with the CIBC logo on top) Floor/Classroom TBA =================================================================== Note: The elevators in the building are "locked down" after 5:30pm to people without building access cards. Leading up to the meeting someone will come down to the main floor lobby every few minutes to ferry people upstairs. After 19:00, you can reach the access-card-carrying guy via a cell phone number that we'll leave with security in the front lobby. The room and floor numbers will be left with security too. -- Michael Graham
