Hi,

This year Linux Conference Australia 2015 will be held in Auckland!. This
is a little write up about this conference and it's content. Please
circulate this message amongst your user group members if you feel
appropriate.

---------------------------------
This is a shameless promotion of Linux conference which is happening in
Auckland from 12-16th Jan, 2015.

What is linux.conf.au?
linux.conf.au is one of the foremost open source conferences in the world,
and is considered the most prestigious in the Southern Hemisphere. Every
year open source geeks from across the globe gather to meet their fellow
technologists, share the latest ideas and innovations, and spend a week
collaborating on free, open source software projects.
The conference is well known for the speakers and delegates depth of
talent, and its focus on technical linux content.

Who is it for?
linux.conf.au is about free and open source software, especially Linux. It
is a technical conference which attracts some of the brightest minds in the
world and it is run by the community, for the community. It's an
opportunity to meet and talk with like-minded people and learn about new
projects you can contribute to.
For seasoned attendees, linux.conf.au is an opportunity to catch up with
old friends, see what new friends are currently working on and see
first-hand what the future of free and open source software will be.

Where will it be held?
For the first time, linux.conf.au will be held in Auckland, New Zealand in
the University of Auckland's modern Owen G Glenn Building.
This is the home of the University of Auckland's Business School and is one
of Auckland's most architecturally striking buildings. With
state-of-the-art teaching facilities and sweeping views of the Auckland
Domain and Rangitoto Island, the Business School offers a unique location
for our conference, and is walking distance from central Auckland.

What topics will be covered?
linux.conf.au covers a broad range of open source topics such as security,
system administration, linux kernel, docker-coreos, web developments etc.
