Hello everybody,

Please don't fall out of your seats as you finally get email from the
Brisbane PM list.  It appears that our previous manager Gordon Fletcher
has left the country and this list has fallen into disuse.  

Unless someone else wants to volunteer (and since I live in Melbourne
that's probably a good idea) I'm going to get Gordon to pass the admin
details for this list and the brisbane-pm webpage to me.

Anyway, I wanted to send this invite I wrote to you all last week, but I
realised that I'd never seen any traffic on this list and didn't know who
to send it to.  Oops.  Well now I know so without further ado:

G'day Folk,

I'm Jacinta from Melbourne PM and from Perl Training Australia.  I'm also
jarich at Perl Monks if any of you hang out there.  Anyway, I get the
distinct impression that Brisbane Perl Mongers don't meet up and hang out
together very often.  So I was wondering if perhaps we could arrange a
meeting for dinner on the night of the 22nd of April.

Why 22nd of April?  Well, it's funny you should ask that.  Paul and I are
running some publically enrollable training courses up in Brisbane on
these dates:

	Introduction to Perl	22nd - 23rd April 2004
	Intermediate Perl	30th April 2004

and since we usually fly-in, teach and then fly out again, we're most
likely really to only need some advice on where to eat on the night of the
22nd.  I have a liking for Indian in particular so if you want to suggest
somewhere good...?

If you know anyone who might like a discount to come on these courses get
them to mention Brisbane Perl Mongers.  I'll give them a 5% discount on
top of the early bird bookings and group bookings if they qualify for them

If you want to meet up let me know, it's always good to have someone to
talk to when visiting a strange city.  Oh, and keep your ears open because
Melbourne PM is organising a YAPC::AU for later this year!  Of course
you're invited.

Melbourne PM meets on the second Wednesday evening of each month.  So if
you'd like to drop in please do.  A lot of our meetings this year are
going to include sections from Paul's book-in-progress: Perl Security. It
should be great.
