Hi everyone.
My name is Chris Hadgis. I am currently employed as a "software engineer" at
Mincom.
I taught myself Perl from the llama book. I have written Perl scripts for
Mincom, a script to parse a sendmail log for a friend of mine who runs an
ISP, and several scripts for myself including a discrete event simulator and
a version of Wumpus. Recently I shifted my Perl scripts to my home PC - a
borrowed P120 running Win98. Now I do Perl scripting for me on my own time
on my own PC. I also have Apache running at home to test CGI scripts, when I
actually get around to writing them, that is :)
I'm also interested in Python, Emacs, and rogue-like games (especially
Angband and its variants).
Being new here, I was hoping someone could tell me what sort of things are
and aren't discussed on this list.
I hope to be able to contribute something during my time here.
Thank-you for your attention,
ChrisH
