Ahojte,

Napísal mi Andrew Shitov, Moskovský Perl mongers group leader, či sa nechystáme
zorganizovať Perl Workshop na Slovensku. Že je posadnutý navštevovaním Perl
event-ov na miestach kde ešte neboli a že by sa rád pozrel do Bratislavy.
Navrhol pomoc so stránkou kedže zopár workshop-ov už zorganizoval. Ponúkal za
seba dve prezentácie a že nahovorí Perl-istov z Moskvy. Určite by sa prišli
pozrieť aj ľudia z Vienna.pm.

Workshop-y trvajú väčšinou dva dni. Možno by stálo za to trochu spropagovať Perl
na Slovensku. Zaslúži si to a čím viacej ľudí uvidí aké sú jeho silné stránky,
čo všetko sa dá a ako, že to nieje len o "just another Perl hacker" tak sa začne
viac požívať, vzniknú nové zaujímavé pracovné pozície a nakoniec z toho budeme
všetci profitovať.

Čo si o tom myslite? Bola by vôľa? Potom by bola aj ceste ;-)

in fact, there is no need in much money - the most expensive part is
venue. But sometimes institutes give it for free.

Other elements such as coffe-breaks and lunches are not the
subjects of money consume: just go to a cafe and have it there for
your own money. What is very desired is an attendee's badge,
but they are very inexpensive.

Could be interesting, what do you think?

If we can get 500E from YEF then we have more than enough for the presentation
room. The rest will be paid by the attendees - accommodation + food.

But more interesting is if Bratislava.pm is interested. (I'm already counting
with Martin Rusko ;-) It will take some time to organize and we will need to
have enough talks to fill those two days. There will be some in english but we
should have at least half in Slovak so that we attract people from Slovakia &&
Czech Republic. This should be the purpose of "Slovak Perl Workshop".

Takto sa dá veľmi jednoducho mixovať Etch && Lenny. Pre Perl je to obzvlášť
praktické, lebo aj tak viac menej chceme mať nové verzie Perlovích modulov. A v
Lenny-m je ich podstatne viac a sú tam samozrejme aj novšie verzie.

/etc/apt/preferences zabezpečí, že "by default" sa nič nenainštaluje
nevyupgraduje z Lenny-ho iba na "vyžiadanie". Napríklad keď človek chce novú
verziu dh-make-perl (ktorá oveľa lepšie hľadá dependecies) tak stačí:

apt-get install dh-make-perl/testing

alebo

apt-get install -t testing dh-make-perl
# aby sa doistalovali aj vsetky /testing dependencies

To platí aj o Perl moduloch a o hocijakých iných balíkoch.

V prípade pohromy (ktorá by nemala hroziť, lebo naozaj netestované verzie sú v
unstable) sa dá jednoducho vrátiť naspäť na "stable""

apt-get install dh-make-perl/stable

Keď si budete chcieť pozrieť ktoré balíčky v systéme niesu stable tak stačí:

apt-show-versions | grep -v '/etch '

Zaujímavé, že Perl6 prilákal sponzorov. Po tom čo Jonathan dostal grant

prišla viac než slušná suma pre The Perl Foundation -

venovaná pre Perl6 projekty a včera dostal Jonathan druhý grant -

Možno by stálo za zváženie vymyslieť nejaký Perl6 projekt, keď už tu je
Jonathan na "dosah ruky".
