When do you plan to come? I would gladly help you with the search, that
won't be a problem. Emmanuel already send you his "foreigner" impression
of Bratislava. That one is much better than our "native" description.
There are no really bad areas in the city. Just some are nicer and some
not that nice. ;) Form each part you should get to the city center in
around 30 minutes by public transport. Supermarkets are everywhere, so
there is no need for a car.

That's not a problem. Slovakia is too small to not accept foreign
languages. You are welcome. But be aware that to learn Slovak language
it's really hard. (Emmanuel will tell you more about it...) English
language is very popular here so you'll have no problem to survive ;)
just with it. (Emmanuel, is it true?)
I have seen your pictures of Bratislava/Slovakia at
http://www.jnthn.net/cgi-bin/photos.pl?albumid=27, really nice! Next
time you come, even for a while, please let us know. We will organize
some Bratislava.pm social meeting.
Have a nice day,
Jozef.
