[boulder.pm] Error/Exception module recommendations?

I'm currently using Error.pm which gets the job done, but it's got a few
design points which annoy me.  Anyone have a favorite exception handling
module they'd like to recommend?  Bonus points for a design more oriented
towards gracefully handling external (network/DB/filesystem) resource
errors.
