DBI, Oracle, forking. Yes, a *real* question. (But I do have some V-1-a-g-R-4 for U...)

People.

I don't have Oracle installed, so I can't answer this question. Also, I
am relating second hand here, so it may not come out right. Those who
know me, know me, those who don't, don't. C'est la life.

If I have a connection to an Oracle DB, it connects. W00t. So then we
fork. Shouldn't it get a new connection? Dammit, I want it to have a new
connection. My initial guess (without any supporting evidence, or indeed
code-inspection) was to say that perhaps it was something to do with
prepare_cached. Perhaps. [1]

Yes, see those straws? I can clutch like the best carnation rotting in a
vase.

Some pointers would be nice, anyone understand me, something.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled pr0n mail.

[1] Yes, I told them to install CDBI. It will probably take away lots of
their problems, solve world hunger and initiate The Rapture [0]

Feed the homeless to the hungry. Kill two birds with one stone.
