AFAIK there is a division of the Northern Ireland Tourist Board that
encourages conferences here and I think also offers financial assistance.
YAPC::Europe may be small by some standards, but I don't think its
contribution to the NI economy would be immaterial.

So if anyone wants to contact the tourist board, that might be an idea.

I've got a great idea for a T-shirt design too. Most people probably won't
like it, but hey, publish and be damned. My idea is to have the two big
Harland & Wolff cranes with cave hill in the background, possibly with
some flax plants growing, as it's one of the semi-official non-politically
offensive symbols of NI. Well, that's assuming that the NI pound coin
design counts as semi official. Wow, that was a bit of a mouthful.
