Y'know I am supposed to be speaking at our next gathering? 

Well, err, um, that date clashes with the Primary School AGM (oh how I
laugh when I remember the mayhem I caused at the last two...) and I
don't want to miss it.

Can we rearrange the date? Or, feel free to have it without me. *sniff*
Not that I care...

Or, someone can have my slideshow, and give the talk for me. In my
style. Yes, a solution. Of course, I would rather attend a rearranged
one, but hey,...ok, I stop now.
