Hello,

I have been talking to Momentum about the possibility of having Reuven
Lerner speak in Belfast. Momentum tried to bring him over earlier this
year but didn't get a very good response and had to postpone the event.
They have contacted me to see if it would be possible to organise
another event. The problem with the last event seemed to be that it
cost 185 pounds plus vat. If I can enough interest in the event we will
be able to cut the price down to less than a quater of that. Could
anyone who would be interested in hearing Reuven please let me know. If
there is enough interest I speak to Momentum and see what we can
organise.

For those who are interested here is some bio information on Reuven.

Reuven is a consultant, author, and lecturer who specializes in
open-source technologies for Web/database applications. Since 1995,
Reuven has been an independent consultant, helping organizations in
North America, Europe, and Israel design and implement Web/database
systems using open-source software. Among his clients are Time Warner,
CheckPoint, Compugen, and Zend. He has lectured to technical and
non-technical audiences on three continents, including two "Geek
Cruises." Reuven writes a popular monthly column on Web/database
technologies for Linux Journal, and recently completed "Core Perl" via
Prentice Hall. He is currently working on a second book that teaches
CTOs how to think about Web application development, including a
comparison of the most popular open-source Web application frameworks.
