Yeah that's nonsense.  But that was a throwaway comment, the rest of it
seems fairly sound.  Be careful when you pick your URL/URIs.  I think
this matters more when it's a document rather than dynamic info like say
a video page on blackstar's site.  Does it really mattter greatly if the
format of that changes?  Actually now that I'm thinking about it it
probably does, because other people will probably link to those pages.

Interesting idea, anybody have any ideas about which URIs it might be ok
to change, or should all URIs stay consistant all the time.

As they used to say:

It is never valid for the format of a URI to change.   URis should be
chosen to reflect the content of a page, not it's means of storage or
distribution.  Discuss.
