session handling

hey all,

i know it's more of a cgi question but can anyone point me in a good 
direction about how to create fairly secure session handling or even show 
light on how the apache::session stuff works (with the apache-perl deb). I 
tried RTM but the whole thing confused me. I think i just really need an 
example.
