Hola mongers, us volia comentar un parell de cosetes.

Per una banda confirmar que en Toni donara la xerrada sobre BioPerl a 
la propera reunio, que si veritablement la passem a "l'ultim dijous de 
cada mes" (algu hauria de tenir la competencia de dir que els canvis es 
fan efectius (Joel?), si no tot plegat queda una mica penjat i nomes 
circulen opinions) es el dijous 30, el de l'altra setmana.

Per altra banda, la persona que fa recruiting a Ticketmaster.com em va 
escriure l'altre dia per si coneixia algu interessat en unes vacants 
que tenen (poso a sota la descripcio). L'altre dia vaig mencionar 
aquest website i va circular l'anunci per la llista de feina, pero com 
que m'ho va demanar us ho passo explicitament.

Com segurament sabreu a Ticketmaster.com hi treballen gurus de 
mod_perl, l'Stas, en Geoffrey, etc. Tot un luxe d'equip, si no em 
calgues menjar es possible que pagues per treballar amb ells :-).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Join one of the leading mod_perl teams in the development of a leading, high-volume web site. As part of Ticketmaster's product development group you will be responsible for the refinement of the existing code base and integration of new functionality with an emphasis on perl and mod_perl development. You will assist, and learn from, our exceptional team of perl engineers.

75%: Coding/Development: perl/mod_perl development in a
     Linux/UNIX environment.

25%: Troubleshooting, debugging of existing and new code.

5%: Documentation, coordination.

Education/Experience:

1+ yrs. Software engineering experience in a work environment (i.e., not limited to academic projects)
perl, OO perl
Strong Linux or Unix background
RDBMS experience
Experience working in a web production environment

Preferred Education/Experience/Knowledge:

Degree in Computer Science or Mathematics
Experience with multiple RDMS systems (Oracle and mySQL ideal) and strong SQL coding skills
Exposure to algorithm/data structure design and implementation
Past experience as a system administrator
General performance tuning
C/C++ programming experience
Exposure to mod_perl (not just Apache::Registry)
