Perl mongers met up for the 4th consecutive time this October. It was plain<br>
"Awesome". I'd like to thank Alan Haggai on behalf of Perl Mongers Bangalore<br>
for making it all the way from Kerala.<br>
<br>
We had 6 new attendees: Nitish, Shiju ( Did i get that right? ), Vishal,<br>
Nihal, Satya and Alan<br>
>From last time we had: Krishna, Sandeep, Kamlesh and me<br>
<br>
There was beer, some discussions on Perl and how people started using it and<br>
how they're using it now. I can say this with guarantee that community does<br>
have wild diversity.<br>

Alan gave a talk on elements of perl that we must / must not use. It was<br>
quite insightful. Krishna then delivered a talk on 5 items you should avoid,<br>
they were excerpts from Perl Best Practices from Damian Conway. Thanks Guys.<br>

The next meet is planned at same place on Nov 5th. People are open to<br>
suggest talks for the meet.<br>

Hi All,<br>

We had nice time at the meetup. Congrats for 'Automorphic' guys for<br>
arranging it and thank you Alan for coming all the way from Kerala. I would<br>
suggest next time we meet little early may be around 5 - 6 PM if its on a<br>
weekend so that it would be comfortable for us to catch a bus back to home.<br>
