Subject: [Perl Maven] 2015 CPAN Pull Request Challenge - Update

Hi,

Update

Sorry for the duplicate e-mail today, but apparently I've forgotten to
mention that when you send your e-mail to Neil neil at bowers.com , you need to
include your GitHub account, and if you have your PAUSE account. If you
don't have a GitHub account yet, them please sign up to GitHub - you'll need
it anyway in order to send the pull request.

On the other hand having a PAUSE account is not a requirement, but Neil
would like to to know if you have.

2015 CPAN Pull Request Challenge

a while ago I asked you about contribution to Open Source code. I got plenty
of answers and I have been working on some solution, but in the meantime
Neil Bowers created something that I think will help quite a few people. He
created the "2015 CPAN Pull Request Challenge".

The idea is that if you sign up, then once a month you'll be allocated a
random CPAN module and your task is to make some improvement and send it to
the author of the module in the form of a GitHub pull request.

I think this is an excellent way to get involved.

As Neil wrote, quite a few people have signed up, many of them were new to
CPAN and open source contribution.

There are quite a few articles about the subject, but if you'd like to join
the challenge, just send and e-mail to Neil: neil at bowers.com

On this page <http://perlmaven.com/2015-cpan-pull-request-challenge> I have
collected the articles published so far about the challenge.

regards
Gabor
