+1

Towards YAPC::INDIA.

This is our ultimate goal.When seeing this words it keeps us popping new ideas.

My personal thoughts
Whenever some person RSVP to this meetup.It makes me to watch youtube videos of recent YAPC.and YES.We need to do lot of progress for YAPC::INDIA.Am sure,if we make little step daily/weekly definitely we can achieve .

Introduced this topic in Bangalore GTUG/GDG [ Google Technology User Group ]. "How about Promoting Opensource in GDG?".
Google is ready to sponsor for this event. With lot of your suggestions Perl can be a important topic in this meetup.
 Pls comment in this thread.Speakers please suggest topics.Looking forward for lot of responses.

Namaste.

I have been very busy at work but watching your wonderful progress. I would say that I agree in substance with Chankey, but that both things can be true.  Chankey is right that the infrastructure of Indian Perl Monger groups is a pre-requisite for a successful YAPC::India.  However, YAPC::India is also a string incentive to organize that infrastructure.

I make suggestions guardedly because you are the people who will have to execute this, and so your opinions are far more important than mine, in the end, but, with that in mind it seems that something like:

Towards YAPC::India, strengthening Perl Mongers across India

Might satisfy both needs?

Ya'akov

>No offense but I really don't like the description. We just had our first meetup and we've started planning for YAPC::India, really? We must concentrate on normal meetups first, then put our efforts to revive other PM groups (Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, Madurai, Madras, Hyderabad).
