That's the DC.pm and Baltimore.pm groups! But did you know we are still accepting talk submissions? We've already gotten a lot of great talk submissions but there is still room for more. If you'd like to present a topic at the Perl Conference visit http://www.perlconference.us/tpc-2017-dc/cfp/ Thanks! Dawn -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... This is Asheville. It's a beautiful place to be! Any of you who went to the Perl Conference (YAPC) here in 2011 I'm sure remember it well and will agree. ? The reason I'm reaching out is because there's an awesome tech company here in Asheville that is looking for a Product/Backend Developer (Perl) and Senior Product/Backend Developer (Perl). It's been very difficult for us to find people around here. This is a great opportunity with a growing company in downtown Asheville. There is no remote option. It's an in the office every day with the product development team type of job. I've attached the job descriptions. Are any of you interested in moving to Asheville or know anyone that would be? It?s a free job listing service for the Perl community. b) there are more and more of us that aren?t looking at anything that _isn?t_ remote, so that?s another thing to consider. It will *vastly* expand your candidate pool. Happy to discuss ways to expand the company culture to be remote friendly. 8^) chrs, john. > On Mar 7, 2017, at 09:24, Elijah Elkins wrote: > > Hello Perl Mongers! > > This is Asheville. I really appreciate it. A) I submitted both jobs to be posted on the Perl jobs site you mentioned. B) I completely understand and would love to see more remote positions. I've been remote for 3 years, and I love it. The CTO has clearly told me though multiple times that these positions have to be in the office. I don't think he plans on changing that, but he might if we keep having trouble finding people willing to move to Asheville. I'm not sure. I do think that people would love it here. Slower pace of life, great beer, mountains, hiking, etc. It's an amazing place to live.
