You can contact him directly if you are interested - 443-330-4128 or jtuchman at vistechs.com Here's what they are looking for: Perl programmer. Project: we are starting to take internal data from our Investments Data Warehouse to Vision, and we need someone to translate the new data formats into our existing layouts, for about 15 interface files. The candidate for a software engineer position should have broad information systems experience, be adept at working in a team environment and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Specific target skills include: several years of experience in specific programming languages, Perl or Python, Auto-Sys, Microsoft?s T-SQL and Unix (Solaris OS 10 ? significant advantage with experience using Vision). Must possess the ability to work collaboratively and independently; experience with Agile (eg, Scrum or Kanban) a major plus. Must be able to conduct gap analysis between source-to-target feeds and design then test a technical solution to close that gap; work with quality assurance to develop software test plans and with hardware engineers to assess and test hardware and software interactions. Requires a minimum of a bachelor?s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering or a related discipline. I?m not as much interested in the credentials as the work experience. Does not have to be someone with front office experience, but definitely someone with good interpretive skills who can think outside of written requirements. We are looking for someone who wants to provide input on our design, someone who thinks and codes compartmentally (i.e. will not recommend and write 15 different scripts, but will write components that are reusable). We are looking for someone who can write code for easy handoff back to our team, so future modifications or uses are simple to handle. This person will be working with our Unix and Vision teams. Thanks~ Dawn -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:
