I just sat down to compose a note to the group. Plutopia has been circulating a call for artist participation - see http://plutopia.org/?p=116 - which I sent to the Robot Group a month or two ago. That has many of the details. It shows a January 15 deadline, but we can probably extend a bit if needed. As always, we'd love to have the Robot Group on board. Dorkbot and Make both evidently decided what we were doing was going to be more work than they wanted to get into, so they've let us know they're not going to be part of Plutopia, as we had announced at Dorkbot 18. They're doing Dorkbot at the park again. Actlab is welded to Dorkbot, but they're also going to be part of Plutopia - i.e. they're doing both. With the help of SXSW, which is cosponsoring Plutopia this year, we managed to get one of the exhibition halls at the Palmer Events Center. It's a massive space - 25,000 square feet, so we can do a lot there. We have artists coming in from all over, and Derek's thinking it'll be a sort of mini-Ars Electronica scene. We're excited. We'd like the Robot Group to come on board with new stuff you haven't already done elsewhere before, is that doable? ~ Jon ------------------------------------------------------------ Jon Lebkowsky? Can you fill us in on any details? Are you interested in The Robot Group's involvement? -- All the best ....
