We can have one any time. Interest has been lacking. I think it would be helpful to have a Perl 5.12 discussion. So much of Perl is well established. It's often used, but old news. Even Ruby is starting to get so common that it doesn't warrent special meetings. If any of you are interested in chatting with someone who still actively uses Perl, please join me there. I'll be the big fellow with the stack of O'Reilly books on his table. I can't guarantee the quality of the conversation, but the Chinese food is excellent. ;-) Hope to see you there, Jonathan W. I subscribed to this group recently when I moved to Austin a few months ago and I noticed it has not met in a long time despite several interesting Perl developments worth talking about. I have been using Perl since '96 but got away from it a few years ago in favor of other languages like Java. Recently I've been hearing about Perl 6. Moose and Catalyst would also make for interesting topics, as well as anything peripherally related to Perl (non-relational databases, AI, algorithms, functional programming techniques, etc). Thanks, Nate On Mon, Aug 16, 2010 at 10:03 AM, Mark Lehmann wrote: > When do you suggest? We can have one any time.
