If you don't want something at your house there are free providers out  
there.   Just depends on what you are wanting to run.  Google Apps may  
be fine for you.  There are several free host providers also.

For dynamic DNS and hosting you can check outside providers like  
freedns / afraid.org which allow you to host your own domain for  
free.   Some do require you to let other people have hosts on that  
domain.   Eg.  buttercup.mydomain.com for some random person.
