APM: Net::FTP recieves file but still reaches timeout without saving

Thanks Wayne,
  I'm using Passive with Net::FTP.  I have, in fact, turned on passive
using all three methods provided in the Net::FTP docs.  (see the
original post).  It turns out that the firewall on the server was
broken.  The problem has been resolved.  However, we still don't know
why ncftp worked and Net::FTP didn't.
