Hi everyone...

There have been some recent developments on the YAPC::NA front,
and it has been suggested to us that a reminder might be helpful
to some people, so here's a quick summary of the event.

Accommodations
--------------
Normally registration information would come first, but
accommodations are the bottleneck -- our main group reservation
(at the conference hotel) expires at the end of the week, and as
the conference approaches it will be extremely difficult to find
a hotel anywhere in the city.

Register now! :-)  We are on track to break attendance records
at YAPC::NA this year, and we could even sell out before the

I know several locals are planning on attending the upcoming YAPC::NA
perl conference, including myself.

I'm /considering/ signing up for a lightning talk to discuss ParTcl,
the Tcl on parrot implementation I'm working on.

Anyone else planning on going? Thinking about it? I know at least one
attendee convinced their employer to treat the time as training instead
of vacation.

I'll be attending as well, though I didn't even *attempt* to convince my employer to pay for any of it.  I was thankful that I was able to get the time off during the middle of several busy projects, and the fact that I'm using my own time and money to go to this will reflect well on me come performance review time.
