From coopercc at netheaven.com Mon Apr 3 23:02:01 2000 From: coopercc at netheaven.com (Clark Cooper) Date: Wed Aug 4 23:56:35 2004 Subject: Anybody up for a meeting? Message-ID: <200004040402.AAA00204@camel> I was really bummed when only Jack and I showed up at the last meeting. So I'm testing the waters first this time. Are there at least two other people that would commit to coming to a meeting next week? (To make a total of four, counting the only two regulars left: Jack & I) Please send me (coopercc@netheaven.com) a message indicating which day(s) you'd attend on (Tue. Apr 11 or Thu Apr 13) and what time is best. If I don't get enough responses, then Jack and I'll just arrange something for ourselves. Also indicate which technical topic you'd like to talk about: 1) Recycled discussion of a TFTP server and client using UDP sockets and select. (I prepared this for last time.) 2) A brief disorganized tutorial on regular expressions. 3) A briefer tutorial on magic (i.e. using the "tie" operator) 4) None, let's wing it. If anybody else has some kind of show & tell of a technical nature (even if it's not perl), we can do that instead. -- Clark Cooper Software Engineer Home: coopercc@netheaven.com Schenectady, NY USA Work: cccooper@ltionline.com From gxela at gw.dec.state.ny.us Tue Apr 4 09:51:00 2000 From: gxela at gw.dec.state.ny.us (Jerry Ela) Date: Wed Aug 4 23:56:35 2004 Subject: Anybody up for a meeting? Message-ID: I'd like to continue to participate in the group. However I'm also in the Albany ColdFusion group which meets the second Thursday of each month. I'd prefer not to have two mtgs the same week, but I could meet on the 11th. I would be especially interested to learn more about tie. >>> Clark Cooper 04/04/00 12:02AM >>> I was really bummed when only Jack and I showed up at the last meeting. To get to it, take I-787 to the Clinton Avenue exit in Albany. Take a right (North) onto Broadway. Within a block or two you'll come to Spenser. Take a right here and Quackenbush Square is half a block down at the end of Spenser. Apparently to get onto Clinton coming from the south on I-787 is a little tricky, but Jack (who's the only one I know that comes from that direction) has already learned how to deal with this. For anybody else coming from the south, if you get to Exit 6 on 787, get off there and take a left onto Broadway. You'll arrive back at Spenser after about a mile and a half. I'll prepare myself to talk about tie. -- Clark Cooper Software Engineer Home: coopercc@netheaven.com Schenectady, NY USA Work: cccooper@ltionline.com From Aaron_F_Evans at fleet.com Mon Apr 10 10:36:22 2000 From: Aaron_F_Evans at fleet.com (Aaron F Evans) Date: Wed Aug 4 23:56:35 2004 Subject: Perl Monger Meeting Tuesday Apr. 11 Message-ID: <006ED33B.C21180@fleet.com> I'll try to make it and maybe bring a few folks.
