Message-ID: <20071209212909.GA4830@knight.cable.rcn.com> I applied to get a meeting room at the BAPL for January 9th. We should have a meeting topic before that! There are some listed at: http://www.perlfoundation.org/abe-pm/index.cgi?technical_meetings I am happy to volunteer to do my App::Cmd talk, since I'm not sure anyone here has seen it yet, and I've been doing a lot of App::Cmd work recently, so it's on my mind. If anybody has any other requests or ideas, though, speak now -- either for this meeting or for future ones. Tom, would you be willing to talk about PDF generation in March? -- rjbs From fiedlert at gmail.com Mon Dec 10 06:10:42 2007 From: fiedlert at gmail.com (Ted Fiedler) Date: Mon, 10 Dec 2007 09:10:42 -0500 Subject: [ABE.pm] tech meeting, january 9: topic? I believe that a guy I know is attempting to do something related to Parrot/Perl6 and CLR/.NET. I don't know the details. Perl 6 is designed to be less crazy about being portable, but more crazy in other ways. -- rjbs From waltman at pobox.com Sat Dec 15 15:00:35 2007 From: waltman at pobox.com (Walt Mankowski) Date: Sat, 15 Dec 2007 18:00:35 -0500 Subject: [ABE.pm] [jand@activestate.com: RE: perl 5 and CLR (.NET)] In-Reply-To: <20071215194824.GA14029@zodiac.codesimply.com> References: <20071215194824.GA14029@zodiac.codesimply.com> Message-ID: <20071215230035.GT5677@mawode.com> On Sat, Dec 15, 2007 at 02:48:24PM -0500, Ricardo SIGNES wrote: > * Tom Freedman [2007-12-15T14:23:21] > > The COM+ 2.0 thing was amusing. I vaguely remember there being a Perl COM component back in the late 90s, but I don't think I ever tried it out. I'm not up on all the Microsoft buzzwords these days, but Activestate's says their Perl Dev Kit can create ActiveX and .NET applications and components: http://www.activestate.com/Products/perl_dev_kit/ Walt From perl.abe at rjbs.manxome.org Tue Dec 18 13:05:37 2007 From: perl.abe at rjbs.manxome.org (Ricardo SIGNES) Date: Tue, 18 Dec 2007 16:05:37 -0500 Subject: [ABE.pm] perl 5.10 is out!
